ROCOCS 5th General Assembly

On 5th August 2022, ROCOCS held its 5th General assembly held in Kigali in partnership with Christian Blind Mission (CBM).

The theme for the general assembly was:

"Together for quality collaborative and inclusive eye health."

The GA was attended by 120 Ophthalmic Clinical Officers and Cataract Surgeons from across the country to discuss problems surrounding primary eye care in Rwanda. During the assembly a guest speaker Dr Demissie Tadesse who provided an interactive talk on inclusive eye health.

On the occasion of this assembly also new members of ROCOCS who applied for full membership into the society and who fulfilled the requirements for membership were officially received and presented to the assembly as members.

Furthermore, during this general assembly official handover from the former committee to the new committee was conducted. The society members expressed their gratitude for the amazing work and achievements made by the former committee and urged the new committee to keep growing the society.
